For the first time since the 2017 World Series, Tigers Manager A.J. Hinch returns to L.A. to face off against the Dodgers since capturing the The Commissioner’s Trophy as the head man of the Houston Astros. Obviously, we all know what’s happened since then with the whole cheating scandal and Hinch being out of a job for a year prior to landing back on his feet in Detroit.
Tigers will open 2022 season on west coast. They’re in Seattle for Opening Day on Thursday, March 31, part of week-long trip to Seattle and Oakland.
Home opener is Friday, April 8 vs. White Sox.

It’s probably safe to assume that Hinch is not going to get the “royal treatment” upon his return to “The City of Angels.” You can read more about the 2022 Tigers regular season schedule here.
